On the matter of spirituality.
There are so many different religions.  How do we choose?  How do we know which one is the "right" one?
There is no correct religion.  If there was, there would be only one religion to begin with.
Why is there not a definitive answer to this question?  Why are we not allowed to know?
There is no religion.  Religion is simply mans way of structuring something that cannot be harnessed.  Man has to have structure, time limits, goals...it is how we are programmed as human beings.
What if there really is no religion?  What if everything we believe is what we get after we pass? 
One way to see this is to look at your life.  Where are you now, and how did you get there?  Did you think it, dream it?  More than likely the answer is yes.
If you look at it and study your past...you will recognize that everything you have now, where ever you are now, you created with your thoughts.  Regardless if you are rich or poor, happy or not, in an abusive situation or a blissful union, everything that you are experiencing you, and you  alone, have brought unto yourself.
This leads to one thing.  You have to take responsibility for everything that is happening in your life right now.
It is not anyone elses fault, it is not circumstances, it is what it is because of you.
If you want to change your world, then you have to do the work.  Begin by thinking of what it is you want, then work towards it. 
It does work.  I know, I am living proof.
And ponder this.  If we in fact do create our realities, then do we create our life after death?
